Attic Insulation

Your attic plays a major role in how comfortable and energy-efficient your home is. Without proper insulation, heat escapes in the winter and builds up in the summer, forcing your HVAC system to work harder and driving up energy bills. Adding attic insulation is one of the most cost-effective upgrades you can make for your home.

Adding Insulation

Attic insulation should be at a minimum between 10” and 12”, depending on the brand and type of insulation. Rule of thumb is that if you can see ceiling joists which are typically 2x6s then you need insulation. R-30 is the minimum you would want in your attic and is cost efficient and quick to install.

Vacuuming Out

Normally we can blow over what is existing in the attic but if it is needed to be removed or just want it to be removed, we can help. Insulation that has a smell from pests or fire, or that has gotten wet is all good reasons for removal. We also remove insulation if you are wanting to tear out ceilings for a renovation. Call us and we can assess for free.

Air Barrier

Some construction types can leave walls exposed in attics where temperature differences can be felt. We can help by sealing these areas off from your house to help stop moisture and heat transfer.

Ask about rebates that might be available from your energy provider.
